24-year-old WWE and Grimsby Town fan, Andrew Newman revealed to me he was "overwhelmed" by the amount of media attention him and his signs received.
Andrew, who resides in Linlithgow, just outside Edinburgh, says it all started when he held his Town shirt up at the WWE Royal Rumble.
"We then beat Barnet the day before the next event. I was so happy and a little drunk so decided to make some signs about the players."
He displayed a sign that read 'Barnet 1-3 Grimsby HAHAHA'. This was spotted by several avid Grimsby supporters who shared the picture on social media.
"I was overwhelmed with the response I received. I never expected the media or the players to get involved."
After signs featuring Grimsby players Carl Magnay, Lenell John-Lewis and Ollie Palmer among others, were once again spotted at WWE Wrestlemania, Andrew gained yet more media attention.
Carl Magnay took to Twitter before Andrew left for the show and said "Have a good one pal! Taking the club worldwide, love it!".
There were approximately 20 signs shown at Wrestlemania, some of which including sly digs at Grimsby's promotion rivals, Bristol Rovers, while another highlighted Ollie Palmer's resemblance to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, labelling him 'Zlatan Palmer'.
The life-long Mariners fan intends get something else Grimsby-related on camera in the future, but supporting Grimsby always comes before watching the wrestling.
"The next event is the day after Grimsby's last game of the season, so I'm deciding to go to Blundell Park instead to hopefully see Town win the league."
