Ollie Palmer is "loving life at Grimsby" but insists that the ultimate decision in regards to his future is up to Grimsby Town and Paul Hurst.
I had a chat with the 6ft 5in giant who appears to be enjoying his loan spell with The Mariners. "My future is up to Grimsby," he said, "but I'm definitely loving my time here."
The Mansfield man has scored 6 key goals for Grimsby in just 9 games. This leaves the striker just 1 goal behind his total for Mansfield, despite playing 45 more appearances for the Stags.
Palmer scored the first goal for Grimsby in their 2-0 victory of Welling United.
Speaking about the Welling game, the 23-year-old said "It was a good performance. We were solid all round."
He then went on to say, "Our aim is to win the league, of course."
"We don't fear any team in this league and we have to be confident whoever we play."
Palmer also credited the fans' support as well.
"The fans make a massive difference. They carry us through games when we're running on empty."
Whilst at Havant and Waterlooville, he hit the net 37 times in 64 appearances for the Hampshire side. Palmer has replicated that form at Grimsby and established himself as a popular character among Grimsby fans, being labelled as 'Grimsby's Zlatan Ibrahimovic' due to his height, hair and his clinical finishing.
