Can Welling overcome their poor home form to see off a strong Grimsby side with contrasting away form?
Welling received a huge morale boost this week with the news of former talisman, Ross Lafayette, re-joining the Wings on a loan deal until the rest of the season, from Football League outfit, Luton Town. Lafayette was last at Park View Road between 2012 and 2014, netting an impressive 35 goals in his time with the Wings. He played a key role in Welling's promotion to the Conference Premier in the 2012-13 season, by scoring 19 goals in a hugely successful season for the Wings. Welling boss, Loui Fazakerley has also snapped up Tahsan Adeyinka, a striker who was most recently at Vanarama South side, Maidenhead United.
Grimsby Town have also brought in two new faces in the last few days, in the form of Josh Gowling and Jordan Chapell, who have both joined on loan deals until the end of the season. Gowling, who has often been labelled as one of the best non-league defender at the present time, joins the Mariners during a tough time at parent club Kidderminster Harriers. However, Gowling will be unavailable for 2 games after racking up 10 yellow cards this season, which rules him out of the tie against the Wings. Chapell, a tricky winger on loan from Devon side, Torquay United, is available for tomorrows game.
Welling's abysmal home form will be a worry for them as Grimsby are renowned for being good away from Blundell Park. Grimsby have most notably picked up big away wins at Gateshead (1-6), Macclesfield (0-1) and Barnet (1-3). The Mariners have only lost 3 league games away this season, whereas Welling have not won at home since 20th December.

Score Prediction
It seems there is only one logical outcome in this fixture and that is another away win for promotion-hungry, Grimsby Town. I think Grimsby will run out 3-1 winners at Park View Road.
